Wheaton Bracing System (KAFO)

By WHEATON BRACE

Description

• Connected to a thermoplastic upper component (Knee extension, KO) with touch fasteners
• The upper component is designed to keep the knee flexed at 90° flexion
• When used with the lower component (AFO), it allows for torque correction of tibial torsion, applying a direct corrective rotational force on the tibia without any torque on the femur or hip
• By overlapping the two components and using touch-fasteners, infinite positions of adjustments can be made to determine the amount of torque desired and the growth of the leg during correction.
