Product Information
Glide is a myoelectric control system designed to enhance the functionality of upper limb prostheses. Using 2 to 8 electrodes, it controls nearly every hand, wrist, and elbow on the market by interpreting electrode activity to navigate a customizable “Glide map”. This map is divided into slices, each assigned specific movements. Glide’s directional control ensures precise operation by adapting the Glide control to the user’s available signals through a transparent setup process.
- Directional control uses EMG co-activity to give the user direct access to functions on the prosthesis without switching signals
- Hardware and software are modular to allow scalability in function over time as users gain experience
- The number of electrodes needed is determined based on the needs of the patient through an evaluation
- Compatible with a wide range of prosthetic hands, wrists, and elbows
- Designed to eliminate the need for daily calibrations and adjustments
- Enables dynamic proportional range to meet the needs of the user
