Product Information
The Point Digit is a heavy-duty, passive articulating prosthetic finger designed to be both lightweight and strong, using a novel ratcheting mechanism to lock into 11 unique positions of flexion.
Designed for patients with finger loss who require a durable device and the ability for one-handed operation and various levels of flexion.
The prosthesis is made of titanium and stainless steel, and comes with all necessary hardware for integration into a prosthetic socket.
- Titanium and stainless steel
- 6 standard lengths (80, 85, 90, 95, 100, and 105 mm, measured from MCP joint center to fingertip)
- 11 locking levels of flexion
- 150 lb (68 kg) load capacity
- Patented ratcheting mechanism enabling unilateral operation with auto spring back
- Integrated compliant fingertip pads that are touch screen compatible and field replaceable
- The only prosthetic finger with anatomical rotation about the patient’s metacarpophalangeal (MCP) joint

Point Pivot+
By Point DesignsThe Point Pivot+ is a dynamic mounting system that provides additional degrees of freedom to the Point Thumb. As a replacement to the standard mounting system for the Point Thumb, the Point Pivot+ provides many functional benefits to the patient. It allows the Point Thumb to be moved from an oppositional position to a lateral position. Additionally, it enables rotation of the flexion/extension plane of the Point Thumb, allowing for a greater number of achievable hand grasps.Used in place of the standard mounting system of the Point Thumb, the Point Pivot+is designed for integration into a hard shell with a soft inner liner (e.g. carbon fiber with silicone or similar). Sockets are not included with the Point Pivot+. Though it is intended for use with the Point Thumb, the Point Pivot+ is compatible with the Point Digit, Point Digit mini, and Point Partial.Titanium and stainless steel19 locking levels of adduction/abduction3 positions of rotation3 mounting positions for the Point ThumbHigh strength: 150 lb (68 kg) load capacityLow weight: 0.51 oz (14.5 g)Each Point Pivot+ fitting requires 2 mounting brackets24-month limited warranty
Point Digit Mounting Kit
By Point DesignsThe Point Digit and Point Digit mini mounting kit enables securement of 1 - 4 Point Digits into a hard shell socket (e.g., carbon fiber). The mounting kit consists of a mounting bracket, lamination spacers, and mounting hardware. After proper positioning, the bracket is embedded into the shell material. Lamination spacers are provided to assist with the embedding process. Mounting hardware is used to attach the lamination spacers to the bracket during lamination, as well as for the final installation of the Point DigitsBreakaway design for easy integration into socket for 1 - 4 Point Digit or Point Digit mini systemsSteel construction for high strength - 300 lb (136 kg) tear out strength (using supplied mounting screws)Mounting bracket shape enables anatomical flexion with adduction of multiple digit installationsLamination spacers maintain mounting area during bracket embedding processTorx™ screws are used to minimize stripping and tamperingMounting areas are labeled for intuitive orientation and installation
Point Pivot+ Mounting Kit
By Point DesignsThe Point Pivot+ mounting kit connects one Point Pivot+ system into a hard shell socket (e.g., carbon fiber). The mounting kit consists of two brackets, a two-piece lamination spacer, and mounting hardware. After proper positioning, the brackets are embedded into the shell material. A lamination spacer is provided to assist with the embedding process. Mounting hardware is used to attach the lamination spacer to the brackets during lamination, as well as for the final installation of the Point Pivot+.Steel construction for high strength - 300 lb (136 kg) tear out strength (using supplied mounting screws)Lamination spacers maintain mounting area during bracket embedding processTorx™ screws are used to minimize stripping and tampering
Point Pivot
By Point DesignsThe Point Pivot is a rotatable mounting system that provides an additional degree of freedom to the Point Thumb. Though it is intended for use with the Point Thumb, the Point Pivot is compatible with the Point Digit, Point Digit mini, and Point Partial.Designed for people who have thumb amputations slightly proximal of the metacarpal phalangeal (MCP) joint, desire a more dynamic prosthetic thumb, and aren't candidates for the Point Pivot+.The Point Pivot is a heavy-duty, passive device with a robust construction. It empowers people with significant thumb loss by giving them more mobility, function, and independence. It is intended to be used with the Point Thumb and replaces the standard mounting kit. However, you do not need to use the Point Pivot in order to use the Point Thumb, it is simply an additional device that adds more function to the Point Thumb for patients with higher level thumb amputations. It is available in two configurations: Compact and Extended. By default the Point Pivot is provided in the Compact configuration, which is designed for integration with new sockets. The Extended configuration can be provided upon request. The Extended configuration is directly compatible with existing sockets where a Point Thumb was previously mounted. The Point Pivot and the Point Thumb (and their associated mounting kits) are sold separately. The Point Pivot is made of titanium and stainless steel, and comes with all necessary hardware for integration into a prosthetic socket. A semi-hollow titanium construction ensures a high strength-to-weight ratio. Can be mounted in the neutral, pre-flexed, or pre-extended positions150 lb (68 kg) load capacity0.43 oz - 0.51 oz (12.2 g - 14.5g) in weightRobust rotation mechanism with 18 locking positions
