Point Partial Mounting Kit

Part # Description

Product Information

The Point Partial mounting kit enables securement of one Point Partial into a hard shell socket (e.g., carbon fiber). The mounting kit consists of a mounting bracket, lamination spacer, alignment tool, alignment transfer post, and mounting hardware. After proper positioning using the alignment tool, the bracket is embedded into the shell material. An alignment transfer post is provided to assist with transferring digit alignment from a diagnostic socket to a definitive socket, if needed. A lamination spacer is provided to assist with the embedding process. Mounting hardware is used to attach the lamination spacers to the bracket during lamination, as well as for the final installation of the Point Partial

  • Bendable tabs for easy tacking during alignment and strength after lamination
  • Alignment tool demonstrating full flexion/extension enables alignment without using prosthetic digit
  • Alignment transfer post provides secure attachment during transfer of alignment from diagnostic socket to definitive socket
  • Stainless steel construction for high strength - 300 lb (136 kg) tear out strength (using supplied mounting screws)
  • Lamination spacers maintain mounting area during bracket embedding process
  • Torx™ screws are used to minimize stripping and tampering

By Point Designs

The Point Partial is a heavy-duty, passive articulating prosthetic finger designed to be both lightweight and strong, using a novel ratcheting mechanism to lock into 7 unique positions of flexion. The Point Partial was designed to meet the needs of individuals with partial finger loss.Designed for patients with finger loss who require a durable device and the ability for one-handed operation and various levels of flexion. The prosthesis is made of titanium and stainless steel, and comes with all necessary hardware for integration into a prosthetic socket. The Point Partial is made from semi-hollow high-strength metal, which guarantees a high strength to weight ratio. Thanks to its ratcheting mechanism and linkage bars, it can be locked into various levels of flexion. Also, the device can be adjusted with the simple touch of a button or by using the spring-loaded release mechanism.3 standard lengths (45, 50, and 55 mm measured from the end of the residual digit to fingertip)7 locking levels of flexionFast delivery (2 days)150 lb (68 kg) load capacityIntegrated compliant fingertip pads that are touch screen compatible and field replaceablePatented ratcheting mechanism enabling unilateral operation with auto spring backDesigned for people who have lost one or more partial fingers at or near the PIP joint. The only prosthetic finger with anatomical rotation about the patient’s MCP or PIP joint24-month limited warranty
